Summer Activity Holidays - Detailed Itinerary:

Saturday - We meet you at Malaga Airport (see transfer times) and transfer you to your accommodation, where we will run through your fully detailed welcome folder with all the local maps and guides you need to get the most from your stay.

Saturday  Evening - Join our beach side welcome meeting in a chiringuito overlooking the glittering blue sea and enjoy a refreshing drink & tapa while we run through your weeks itinerary and give a swift overview of the town and surrounding area.  After answering any questions you may have we head off for your fully inclusive welcome evening meal & drinks in a typical Andalucian restaurant.

Sunday - Choose from:
Cycling - Almunecar Explore.  A guided mini tour of Almuñécar, taking in the main beaches, as well as some of the Roman ruins, statues and key parts of the paseos and Arabic old town, as well as a few of the lovely monuments and statues by Miguel Moreno..  If there’s anything on like the Easter processions we’ll try and incorporate that, as well as the Sunday flea market (most Sundays except early Aug during the town feria).  A great way to get orientated, find a few short cuts through the lanes and check out the shopping areas and find the best restaurants and tapas bars in the old town as well  as cruising the length of the sea side.  Usually we’ll also head inland a bit along the flat along a few surrounding country lanes through the cherimoya and mango orchards.  The route will be mostly paved and tailored to the group's abilities and the temperature and is a great way to see the local area at the beginning of your holiday.  Rucksacks for your swimming gear provided, as well as snorkels and masks and snack pack / refreshments.
- OR -
Mountain Biking Experienced riders can take our great self guided Ridge Route with off road  options between 9 and 15km, or a return all downhill via tarmac.  Stunning views over the white villages and the bright blue sea, from a high point of some 600m altitude.  All route notes & maps needed supplied as well as picnic lunch, though NB a min no of 2px required.

Local Area Walk - Camino de los Pescadores.  Explore the western paseos and sea cliffs before crossing over into neighbouring La Herradura where you can try your hand snorkelling at one of the local dive sites to the east of the bay, or relax in a beach side chiringuito.  This is an old fisherman's path with superb views along the coast and towards the marina on the way.  We supply full illustrated route notes, rucksacks, a light picnic lunch and masks & snorkels if required

- OR -
Simply choose self guided free riding - Mountain Biking or Cycling for a spin along the paseo and explore along the coast line - or perhaps take a shorter ride to find the Roman Bridge and some great viewpoints.  We supply all the route notes you need for a great day along with snorkeling mask & tube, as well as a rucksack for your swimming kit & beach towels!
